The Project

About This Project

For many settlements around Haripur, clean water means a long walk with heavy containers — or drinking whatever is nearest. The Water Well Digging project brings safe drinking water to the heart of these communities through hand pumps and small wells.

Our team surveys each site for water table depth and contamination risk, engages local drillers, and supervises construction from first excavation to first flow. Each water point is registered, and a local caretaker committee is formed for upkeep — so the water keeps flowing for decades.

Our Work

What KTS Welfare Does

From hydrology surveys to caretaker training — wells built to last.

Site Survey

We assess groundwater depth, quality and community size to place each well where it serves most and lasts longest.

Supervised Digging

Local drillers do the work under our supervision, with quality checks at every stage of construction.

Flow Testing

Every well is tested for yield and, where needed, fitted with simple filtration before handover.

Caretaker Committee

Residents are trained and organized to maintain the pump — turning a project into a permanent community asset.

What flows when a well is dug.

“

We walked forty minutes to a dirty pond before this pump. My daughters fetched water every morning instead of going to school. Now the water is here, and so are they — in class.

Stomach illness was normal in our basti — every month someone was sick from the water. Since the KTS well opened, that has almost stopped. It changed the health of the whole settlement.
